The Moscow Mule originated in the United States in the 1940s and quickly became popular due to its combination of vodka, lime and ginger beer. Over time, a variety of regional variations have arisen, replacing vodka with other distillates.
Scandinavian Mule builds on Aquavit, a traditional Nordic distillate with distinctive notes of cumin, dill and other herbs. Lime juice brings fresh acidity, ginger drink adds pungency and energy. A sprig of dill underlines the Nordic character and aromatically connects the whole drink. The result is a Mule with a clear identity — fresh, distinctive and herbaceous at the same time.
